The VSAN Hydrostatic Level Transmitter is a highly accurate pressure-based level measuring instrument designed for continuous level measurement of liquids in open tanks, underground reservoirs, deep wells, bore wells, rivers, dams, sumps, process vessels, and storage tanks. The transmitter measures the hydrostatic pressure exerted by the liquid column and converts it into an accurate level measurement, providing reliable and maintenance-free operation in a wide range of industrial and environmental applications.
The transmitter utilizes a high-performance piezoresistive pressure sensor protected by a corrosion-resistant stainless steel diaphragm. As the liquid level increases, the hydrostatic pressure acting on the sensing diaphragm increases proportionally. The internal microprocessor accurately converts this pressure into a corresponding level value and transmits it as a standard 4–20 mA or digital communication signal.
The VSAN Hydrostatic Level Transmitter is specifically designed for continuous immersion in liquids and is suitable for measuring the level of water, wastewater, groundwater, chemicals, fuels, oils, diesel, process liquids, slurry (non-abrasive), and other compatible liquids. It is available in both Submersible Type and Flange Mounted Type configurations to suit different industrial requirements.

The VSAN Hydrostatic Level Transmitter operates on the Hydrostatic Pressure Measurement Principle.
When the transmitter is submerged in a liquid or installed at the bottom of a tank, the liquid column above the sensing diaphragm exerts hydrostatic pressure proportional to the liquid height.
The internal piezoresistive pressure sensor detects this pressure and converts it into an electrical signal. An onboard microprocessor performs signal conditioning, temperature compensation, linearization, and digital calibration to ensure accurate measurement.
The transmitter continuously calculates the liquid level using the relationship between hydrostatic pressure and liquid height and converts the measured value into a 4–20 mA analog output or digital communication signal.
The level information is then transmitted to PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, or industrial controllers for continuous monitoring, inventory management, alarm generation, pump control, and process automation.
Since the hydrostatic pressure is directly proportional to the liquid level, the transmitter provides highly accurate and continuous level measurement with excellent long-term stability.
