The VSAN Float Level Transmitter is a reliable and cost-effective continuous level measuring instrument designed to accurately monitor the liquid level in tanks, vessels, reservoirs, and process equipment. Based on the proven magnetic float principle, the transmitter provides continuous level measurement with excellent accuracy, long-term stability, and minimal maintenance, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
The transmitter consists of a float containing a permanent magnet that moves vertically along a guide stem or chamber according to the liquid level. As the liquid level rises or falls, the float follows the liquid surface, and the magnetic field activates precision reed switches or a magnetostrictive sensing element inside the stem. The transmitter continuously converts the float position into a proportional electrical output signal, providing accurate level information to the control system.
The VSAN Float Level Transmitter is ideal for measuring the level of water, diesel, fuel oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, chemicals, solvents, edible oils, process liquids, and other compatible non-viscous liquids. It offers dependable performance even under varying pressure and temperature conditions, making it suitable for both atmospheric and pressurized storage tanks.
Manufactured using high-quality materials such as SS304, SS316, SS316L Stainless Steel, PVC, PP, PVDF, PTFE, and engineering plastics, the transmitter provides excellent corrosion resistance and long service life in harsh industrial environments. Different float materials and stem constructions are available to suit specific process media and application requirements.
The transmitter is available in Top Mounted, Side Mounted, External Chamber Mounted, and Custom Configurations, allowing flexible installation in vertical, horizontal, open, or closed tanks. Depending on the application, various mounting options such as Threaded, Flanged, and Sanitary Connections are available.
The VSAN Float Level Transmitter provides a standard 4–20 mA analog output, with optional HART Communication, RS485 Modbus RTU, Relay Outputs, and Local Digital Display, enabling seamless integration with PLC, DCS, SCADA Systems, Process Controllers, Industrial Automation Networks, and Remote Monitoring Systems.
The transmitter incorporates advanced electronics featuring temperature compensation, signal conditioning, surge protection, reverse polarity protection, programmable measuring ranges, and digital calibration, ensuring stable and reliable operation over extended periods.
Designed for demanding industrial environments, the VSAN Float Level Transmitter features rugged IP65, IP67, or IP68-rated enclosures (model dependent), making it suitable for indoor and outdoor installations. Explosion-proof (Ex-proof) versions are also available for hazardous area applications.
The VSAN Float Level Transmitter is widely used in Oil & Gas Industries, Chemical Processing, Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Power Plants, Pharmaceutical Industries, Food & Beverage Processing, Marine Applications, Steel Plants, Cement Industries, OEM Equipment, Storage Tank Farms, HVAC Systems, and Industrial Automation, where reliable continuous liquid level monitoring is required.
With its simple operating principle, robust construction, excellent reliability, and maintenance-free performance, the VSAN Float Level Transmitter provides a dependable solution for continuous industrial liquid level measurement.
The VSAN Float Level Transmitter operates on the Magnetic Float Level Measurement Principle.
A float containing a permanent magnet is placed on the surface of the liquid inside the tank. As the liquid level changes, the float moves vertically along the guide stem while remaining on the liquid surface.
The magnetic field generated by the float activates reed switches or a magnetostrictive sensing element located inside the stem without direct mechanical contact. The transmitter continuously detects the float position and converts it into an electrical signal proportional to the liquid level.
An internal electronic circuit processes the signal through amplification, linearization, and calibration before generating a standard 4–20 mA analog output or digital communication signal.
The measured level is transmitted to PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, or process controllers, where it is used for inventory management, pump control, alarm generation, and process automation.
This measuring principle provides stable, accurate, and continuous level measurement with minimal maintenance and excellent long-term reliability.
The VSAN Float Level Transmitter is widely used for continuous liquid level monitoring in numerous industrial applications.
