The VSAN Coriolis Mass Flow Meter is a premium precision instrument designed to provide direct and highly accurate measurement of mass flow, density, temperature, and volumetric flow in a single device. Unlike conventional flow meters that calculate flow based on velocity or volume, Coriolis technology directly measures the mass of the fluid passing through the sensor, making it one of the most reliable and accurate flow measurement solutions available for industrial applications.
Manufactured using advanced sensor technology and high-performance digital electronics, the VSAN Coriolis Mass Flow Meter delivers exceptional measurement accuracy, repeatability, and long-term stability, even under varying process conditions. The flow meter is suitable for measuring liquids, gases, slurries, viscous fluids, cryogenic fluids, and corrosive chemicals without requiring additional pressure or temperature compensation.
Its robust construction, maintenance-free operation, and ability to simultaneously measure multiple process parameters make it the preferred choice for critical process control, custody transfer, batching, blending, and process automation. The transmitter supports multiple communication protocols including 4–20 mA, Pulse Output, Frequency Output, Modbus RTU, HART, Profibus, and Foundation Fieldbus, enabling seamless integration with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
Available in a wide range of line sizes, process connections, and material options, the VSAN Coriolis Mass Flow Meter is designed to meet the demanding requirements of industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Power Generation, Fertilizer, and Marine applications.
The VSAN Coriolis Mass Flow Meter operates based on the Coriolis Effect, a physical phenomenon observed when a moving mass passes through a vibrating tube.
Inside the flow meter, one or two specially designed measuring tubes are continuously vibrated at their natural frequency by an electromagnetic drive system. When no fluid is flowing, the vibration pattern of the tubes remains perfectly symmetrical.
As fluid begins to flow through the vibrating tubes, the moving mass experiences Coriolis forces, causing the inlet and outlet sections of the tube to twist slightly in opposite directions. Highly sensitive sensors continuously detect this tiny phase shift (time difference) between the vibrations.
The electronic transmitter converts this measured phase shift directly into mass flow rate. Simultaneously, the vibration frequency of the tubes is used to determine the fluid density, while integrated temperature sensors compensate for thermal variations and provide accurate process temperature measurement.
Because the measurement is based on the actual mass flowing through the sensor rather than flow velocity, the performance remains highly accurate regardless of changes in pressure, temperature, viscosity, or fluid properties.
The VSAN Coriolis Mass Flow Meter is widely used in industries where precise mass flow measurement is critical for process efficiency, quality control, and commercial transactions.
