The VSAN Pull Cord Switch with Indicator operates on the Manual Rope Pull Emergency Stop Principle.
A steel wire rope is installed along both sides of the conveyor and connected to the operating lever of the switch.
During normal operation, the switch remains in its reset position while continuously monitoring the tension of the pull cord. In the event of an emergency, an operator can pull the rope from any point along the conveyor. The pulling action rotates the operating lever, activating the internal microswitch contacts and immediately generating a stop signal.
Simultaneously, the built-in mechanical visual indicator changes its position to clearly indicate that the switch has been activated. The indicator remains locked until the switch is manually reset after the emergency has been addressed.
The emergency stop signal is transmitted to the conveyor control panel or PLC, which immediately shuts down the conveyor system to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
